Bushong & Holleman, a leading Colorado water law firm located in downtown Boulder, is seeking a mid-level or senior associate to join our team.

Position Requirements

Ideal candidates will have at least four years and preferably more experience practicing Colorado water law.  Experience in related state and federal regulations, water quality, land use, and environmental matters is a plus.  In addition to strong credentials and references, the candidate should be detailed orientated, skilled in legal research, writing, and oral and written advocacy, and well versed in taking initiative in cases and projects while managing deadlines. There is an exceptional opportunity for developing clients and a fast partnership track for the right candidate.

Compensation and Expectations

The starting salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 depending on experience, plus an additional 15% SEP IRA payment with no required matching. Bushong & Holleman also has a generous bonus program based on quality of work and hours billed above the minimum expectation, which is an average of 135 billable hours a month.  By example, the bonus formula would result in a bonus of more than $20,000 a year for billing an average of 150 hours a month. Bushong & Holleman offers other exceptional benefits to its employees, including full health insurance, payment of bar dues, attorney registration fees, and CLE credits, and a parking pass for downtown Boulder.  Bushong & Holleman allows flexible work and vacation schedules.  Remote work is allowed part-time after an employee has been with the firm for more than one year.
