WATER RESOURCES STAFF ENGINEER/HYDROLOGIST (5 TO 10 YEARS)
Job Description
This position will provide advanced-level technical services for water rights projects, with the potential to work on integrated water resources planning projects. A minimum of five years of professional experience with Colorado water rights projects is required. In addition to the compensation package described above, the anticipated salary range for this position for a full-time employee is $95,000 to $120,000, annually, and is dependent on education and experience. Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of professional experience with Colorado water rights projects, preferably in consulting.
- B.S. from an accredited college or university in water resources or civil engineering, hydrology, watershed science, or a closely related field.
- Professional registration as an engineer or hydrologist, or the ability and commitment to obtain within one year.
- Pride in professionalism and producing excellent work.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and strong data analysis skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, with strong spreadsheet and database skills.
- Familiarity with ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro (preferred)
- Excellent skills in critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Effective at technical writing and verbal communication.
- Excellent time management skills and judgment to identify solutions within boundaries set by project schedules and budgets.
- A positive attitude with a “team player” mentality.
